Wigan and Leigh Housing Company is an Arms Length Management Organisation established to manage Wigan Metropolitan Borough Council’s housing stock of approximately 26000 homes.
The ALMO has set up a strategic framework with 10 contracting companies to deliver an integrated programme of kitchen renewal, rewiring, roofing, external repairs and environmental works over a five year period.
Herbert T Forrest has been selected as a partner to undertake environmental works on estates throughout Leigh, with a total value of approximately £12 million. The works comprise renewal of fencing and construction of parking-bays to dwellings with an output of 20 completed dwellings per week.
We are providing customer care and quality control functions on the schemes and are consistently handing over snag free works and achieving very high levels of customer satisfaction. Herbert T Forrest, last year, won the award for most improved level of customer satisfaction across the framework.
