Bolton at Home Ltd is an Arms Length Management Organisation established to manage Bolton Metropolitan Borough Council’s housing stock of approximately 21000 homes.
The ALMO has set up a strategic framework with 5 contracting companies to deliver an integrated programme of improvements, to achieve and better the “Decent Homes” standards to all it’s dwellings by 2008. The improvement works include kitchen renewal, rewiring, central heating installations, roofing, external repairs and environmental works.
Herbert T Forrest has been selected as one of the five partners to undertake kitchen renewal, roofing, external repairs and environmental works on estates throughout the Borough, with a total value of approximately £25 million. We are providing a complete service including surveying, design, quality control and customer care.
Through the partnership we are involved with local labour and training initiatives and our company is currently training six young people from the Bolton area, through Modern Apprenticeships.
