Health and Safety
At H T Forrest we are proud of our health and safety record. The key performance indicator for Health and Safety is compiled by monitoring the number of reportable accidents on each site as a percentage to the total number of days worked on that site. In order to maintain and improve our health and safety record we have appointed a full time Health and Safety Officer, Mr Tony Mower.

Tony is AMRSH(AMIOSH) qualified and has carried out this role for 16 years with ourselves and for other companies. He is therefore well qualified to advise us and aid our company to achieve sector leading figures for our health and safety KPI. Tony assists our Contracts Managers to prepare Risk Assessments, Method Statements and Health and Safety Plans.
Tony has been instrumental in introducing a comprehensive induction process to the company whereby each operative is now inducted to each site and records of all inductions are kept at head office.
In addition to employing our own Health and Safety Officer we are also a member company of the Preston Construction Safety Association who are an independent organisation who employ Health and Safety Officers to inspect our sites. Visits are carried out on a fortnightly basis and a report prepared from each visit. The reports are forwarded to our head office and audited by Tony. In addition Tony also inspects each site every month.
